Class types:
1. Japanese vegetarian cooking class
(menu: four to five vegetarian dishes)
-Fee: 4,500 yen / person
-Duration is 3 hours(cooking and eating)

2. Japanese non-vegetarian cooking class(with chicken)
(menu: three to four dishes+ a chicken main dish)
-Fee: 4,500 yen /person
-Duration is 3 hours(cooking and eating)

3. Japanese non-vegetarian cooking class(with Kobe beef)
(menu: three to four dishes+ half size Kobe beef steak)
-Fee: 5,900 yen/person
-Duration is 3 hours(cooking and eating)
-Kobe beef is a small steak, but officially certified A4 or A5 rank guaranteed.
Full size Kobe beef steaks at restaurants are around 10,000 yen(or more)

4. Nishiki food market trip
(available only once a week)
-Fee: additional 3,000 yen/person to your cooking class fee
-Duration is 60-90min. (11am, 12pm, 1pm or 2pm start. Then, cooking class.)
You will visit Nishiki food market, the kitchen of Kyoto. You will stroll around the market and learn about
Japanese ingredients. After that, you will head to my house for a cooking
class.

Please choose from- 11am, 12pm, 3pm or 4pm
The first group to make a reservation on that day sets the START time of
the class.

-Menus are seasonal and are subject to change.
-We organize it so it will be a complete meal(1 soup dish, 2-3 side dishes and a main dish).
-Class can START from either 11am, 12pm, 3pm or 4pm(please choose).
-Duration is approx. 3 hours(2.5-4 hours depending on the number of questions
asked).
-One class a day(We try to keep it 1 class type per class to finish everything within 3 hours. However, we accept upto 2 class types

Hello, I am Taro the owner of Haru Cooking Class -Kyoto-.
You can learn a lot about Japanese culture by learning about Japanese food.
Food plays a big role in our culture.
In Haru Cooking Class -Kyoto-, you will cook Japanese home dishes.
I cannot teach fancy dishes as I am not a professional chef.
However, I do my best to show and explain what Japanese people eat normally on daily bases.
I thank everybody who come all the way to Japan.
I wish for my guests to end the class with deeper understanding of Japan
and Japanese people.
