Learn to cook Japanese food; try them again at home!!

Types of cooking classes:
1. Japanese vegetarian cooking class
(menu: four to five vegetarian dishes)
-Fee: 4,500 yen / person
-Duration is 3 hours(cooking and eating)
-Vegan menu available


2. Japanese non-vegetarian cooking class(with chicken)
(menu: three to four dishes+ a chicken main dish)
-Fee: 4,500 yen / person
-Duration is 3 hours(cooking and eating)


3. Japanese non-vegetarian cooking class(with Kobe beef)

(menu: three to four dishes+ half size Kobe beef steak)
-Fee: 5,900 yen / person
-Kobe beef steak is half size, but officially certified A4 or A5 rank guaranteed.
Full size Kobe beef steaks are served at restaurants for around 10,000 yen(or more)
-Duration is 3 hours(cooking and eating)

4. Nishiki food market class
(available once a week)
-Fee: additional 3,000 yen/person to your cooking class fee
-Duration is 60-90min. (11am, 12pm, 1pm or 2pm start. Then, cooking class.)
We will visit Nishiki food market in downtown. You will stroll around the market and learn about Japanese ingredients. After that, we will go to my house for a cooking class.

5. Short cooking class(only available during the month of Feb. 2012)
Menu: vegetable tempura(one dish)
-Fee: 2,900 yen / person (minimum 2 guests per class)
-Duration is 60 - 90min.(cooking and eating)
*At the moment, we are offering this class only for Feb. of 2012.
Feb is low season in Kyoto and the exchange rate is still not recovering.

Information:

*1 to 6 person(s) per class. (private lessons are not guaranteed, you may group with others)

*Cooking and eating time varies depending on the number of guests in the class. With only two guests, it could take as short as 1.5 hours cooking. With six guests, it could take as much as 3 hours just for cooking.

*Food market class will be held before the cooking class. Please choose from 11am, 12pm, 1pm or 2pm start. After 1.5 to 2 hours of food market class(including transport time), cooking class will start.

*For Non-vegetarian class with Kobe beef, if you wish to have two slices of steak, it is additional 3,000yen. However, this may not be available for last minute reservations.
We must purchase Kobe beef in advance from a butcher in Hyogo prefecture.

Map / Location:

Take the city bus number 205(its a loop line) and please get off at "Shin Aoibashi" stop. 
You may purchase "one day bus pass" at the JR Kyoto station(or on the bus) for 500 yen, which I highly recommend.

Class can START from either 11am, 12pm, 3pm or 4pm(please choose).
*Duration is approx. 3 hours
(could be upto 4 hours depending on the class size).
*We can only offer 1 class a day.
